December 12, Plitt issued an announcement on Haisida's signing of the strategic cooperation agreement for the solid-state lithium battery project, which said that Haisida, a holding subsidiary, had signed a strategic agreement with Weilan New Energy, and that the two sides would work together to rapidly introduce the solid-state electrolyte system into the new generation of batteries. Quickly develop a new generation of batteries with high reliability and safety for promotion and application, and at the same time cooperate in the market.
On the same day, Plitt issued an announcement on Haisida's receipt of major orders for small cylindrical batteries. The announcement showed that Haisida's orders were obtained in November 2023, and a total of $30 million orders were signed with international head power tool customers in the small cylindrical battery industry, mainly based on the application of ternary cylindrical batteries in the field of power tools. The order is expected to have a positive impact on the operating results in 2023 and 2024.
Haisida is the core platform of the company's new energy business sector, and has become the strategic engine of Plitt's layout of "new materials + new energy" two-wheel drive development. Haisida has been committed to the R & D and industrialization of secondary power and energy storage batteries, and has established a complete R & D and manufacturing capacity in the field of power and energy storage batteries. At the same time, it seeks a multi-directional, multi-angle and multi-extension development direction in the layout of lithium battery industry. As a national high-tech enterprise focusing on the R & D and production of mixed solid-liquid electrolyte lithium-ion batteries and all-solid-state lithium batteries, Weilan New Energy is the only industrialization platform for solid-state battery technology of the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
This cooperation with Weilan New Energy is the first official announcement of Plitt in the field of solid-state batteries.
At present, Plitt has 3Gwh ternary cylindrical batteries, 1Gwh square iron lithium batteries and 1.3Gwh sodium/lithium ion batteries. In June this year, Plitt announced that it would build a production base for sodium-ion and lithium-ion batteries and systems with an annual output of 30 GWh in Liuyang Jingkai District, which will be constructed in three phases, with a design capacity of 12 GWh square batteries in the first phase, with an investment of about 3 billion yuan; In the second and third phases, 6GWh cylindrical batteries and 12GWh square batteries were built respectively, with an investment of 3 billion yuan and 4 billion yuan respectively. In the same month, the official announced that the project of 6GWh energy storage battery and its system production base will be built in Fushan Industrial Park, Zhuhai, focusing on providing large batteries and system products to customers in the fields of new power system, intelligent photovoltaic , industry and commerce.
