On December 26, the 30 MW pure hydrogen gas turbine independently developed and launched by Mingyang Hydrogen Fuel Power Technology Co., Ltd. (Hereinafter referred to as "Mingyang Hydrogen Fuel"), a subsidiary of Mingyang Intelligence, was officially launched. This gas turbine is the world's first 30MW pure hydrogen gas turbine , equipped with the "Jupiter 1" pure hydrogen combustion chamber independently developed by Mingyang Hydrogen Combustion, which can achieve 100% pure hydrogen combustion and truly "zero carbon emissions" .
The offline of pure hydrogen gas turbine is a milestone in the development of large and medium-sized gas turbines in the field of hydrogen energy in China, an important achievement in the construction of a new power system and a major breakthrough in the national "bottleneck" technology, which is of great significance for achieving the goal of "carbon neutrality" and creating a new clean energy mode of "wind and solar hydrogen storage and combustion" with international competitiveness.
The off-line pure hydrogen gas turbine products, born for the "Shagohuang" area and the "Big Base" project, are equipped with 10 independent "Jupiter 1" pure hydrogen combustion chambers, with a maximum hydrogen consumption of 38000 cubic meters per hour and an annual consumption of 10000 tons of green hydrogen, equivalent to the annual hydrogen consumption of 50000 hydrogen fuel cell passenger cars. The annual peak shaving of power generation is nearly 200 million kilowatt hours. The offline of "Jupiter 1" can promote the development of zero-carbon cities, zero-carbon industrial parks and zero-carbon communities, help the construction of rural distributed zero-carbon energy bodies, and play an important and irreplaceable role in green peak shaving of heating, energy supply and gas supply.
It is reported that the product has become the largest pure hydrogen gas turbine combustor test in the world since its first ignition test in May 2023, and has passed the "hydrogen-ammonia mixing" combustion test to verify the feasibility of "green hydrogen + green ammonia" mixed combustion, and has completed the full temperature, full pressure and full scale test in the domestic aeroengine/gas turbine test bed. The experiment was successful at one time.
