United Renewable Energy said that the number of layoffs is expected to account for about 10% of its total staff, the layoffs will be completed in the fourth quarter of this year, the company has reported to the relevant departments in accordance with the law.

On June 5, United Renewable Energy issued an announcement
on "matters related to phasing out the traditional PERC production line". Market data show that TOPCon solar modules have surpassed PERC products and become the mainstream technology route in the market. To this end, United Renewable Energy will shut down the PERC battery production line in Miaoli County, Taiwan Province, and said that the plant has entered the late stage of its life cycle, and the company will focus on the development and production of TOPCon series photovoltaic modules .
In the future, TOPCon production capacity will be concentrated in the Tainan plant, and United Renewable Energy plans to continue to produce existing solar module products and launch all-black modules in the third quarter of this year.
