On December 12, the project of sodium ion battery manufacturing base with a total investment of 5 billion yuan started in Guangde District, Anhui Province, the Yangtze River Delta (Xuancheng) Industrial Cooperation Zone. The total investment of
Anhui Qingna sodium-ion battery manufacturing base project is 5 billion yuan, with an annual output of 10g Wh sodium-ion batteries, which is expected to achieve mass production in the second half of next year.
It is reported that the project covers an area of 260 mu and is divided into two phases. The first phase has a planned capacity of 5 GWh, including three intelligent sodium-ion battery production lines. Through the cooperation of intelligent robot transportation and automation equipment, the whole process of intelligent manufacturing from raw material input to finished product core output is realized. In terms of quality control, the production line is strictly controlled by advanced technologies such as secondary weightlessness metering, real-time monitoring of laser welding and third-generation transistor gallium nitride to ensure the high stability and consistency of finished batteries. Products can be widely used in light vehicles, engineering machinery and other power fields, as well as portable energy storage, start-stop power supply, UPS and other energy storage fields. According to
the data, Qingna New Energy was established in November 2022, focusing on the R & D, production and sales of sodium-ion batteries, and currently has jurisdiction over Huzhou Qingna and Anhui Qingna. The company actively carries out full layout in the industrial chain of "positive pole-battery core-module-whole package system", self-supporting key raw materials, and builds a sodium power solution provider based on large cylindrical battery core, with cathode material and electrolyte technology as the highlight.
