On September 15, the National Bureau of Statistics released data on industrial output above the scale and energy production in August 2025. In terms of
power production, in August, the growth rate of industrial wind power accelerated, the decline of hydropower expanded, and the growth rate of thermal power, nuclear power and solar power slowed down. Among them, the regulated industrial thermal power increased by 1.7% year-on-year, 2.6 percentage points slower than that in July; the regulated industrial hydropower decreased by 10.1%, 0.3 percentage points more than that in July; the regulated industrial nuclear power increased by 5.9%, 2.4 percentage points slower than that in July; The regulated industrial wind power increased by 20.2%, 14.7 percentage points faster than that in July; the regulated industrial solar power increased by 15.9%, 12.8 percentage points slower than that in July. Solar power generation from January to August was 386.7 billion kWh, up 23.4% year-on-year. In terms of
output, the output of solar cells in August was 69.86 million kilowatts, an increase of 16.8% over the same period last year, and an increase of 5.24% over the output of 66.38 million kilowatts in July. From January to August, the output of solar cells was 547.32 million kilowatts, up 16.8% year-on-year.
