On September 2, Zhou Yuxian, Chairman of China Building Materials Group, met with Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his delegation in Beijing to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in 2025 and commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan and the World Anti-Fascist War. Focusing on the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the "Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy", the two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on comprehensive cooperation in the fields of new material industry investment, clean energy project investment and construction, and engineering and technical services.
Zhou Yuxian warmly welcomed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China, expressed sincere thanks to the Ukrainian government for its long-term support and guarantee for the Group's business development in Ukraine, and briefly introduced the Group's business layout, project progress and operating results in Ukraine. He said that as a non-metallic material manufacturer and capital investment company, China Building Materials Group has always closely linked overseas cooperation with the development strategy of the host country. Up to now, the scale of investment and industrial cooperation in Ukraine has exceeded US $2 billion. In the future, the Group will further develop new materials such as wind power blades, gypsum boards, wind and solar energy storage, etc. As well as the systematic advantages of engineering and technical services, we will continue to increase strategic layout and resource input, carry out more comprehensive, in-depth and pragmatic cooperation with Ukraine, actively promote the implementation of consensus projects, and contribute to the green and low-carbon transformation of energy and sustainable development of Ukraine.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke highly of the Group's cooperation projects and achievements in Uzbekistan, and made positive contributions to the upgrading of Uzbekistan's building materials industry, the improvement of infrastructure and the development of clean energy. He said that Ukraine attaches great importance to the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between Ukraine and China in the new era, firmly supports the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, and the two countries have achieved a series of important cooperation results on the basis of mutual trust and mutual benefit. Uzbekistan is making every effort to promote the "Uzbekistan 2030 Strategy". There is a huge demand for cooperation in the modernization of building materials industry, the development of new energy, and the improvement of infrastructure quality and efficiency. As a leading enterprise in the global building materials industry, China Building Materials Group has strong strength in the fields of building materials production, new energy development and engineering technology services.
