On the occasion of bidding farewell to the old year and ushering in the new, on behalf of China National Building Material Group, I would like to extend my most sincere greetings and best wishes for the New Year to friends from all walks of life who have always cared about, supported and helped the development of the Group, and to all cadres and employees of the Group!
Looking back on 2023, in the first year of fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, under the leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as its core, solid steps have been taken to build a socialist modern country in an all-round way, and all walks of life throughout the country are in full swing to comprehensively promote the construction of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation with Chinese-style modernization. The banner leads the direction and the mission condenses the strength. All Chinese building materials workers are ready to take on the responsibility and forge ahead, with stronger resilience, more stable determination and more motivation for high-quality development, continuing to contribute to national development, creating value for social progress and escorting people's better life.
We will strive to build a modern industrial system in an all-round way. Focusing on the "three major roles", insisting on both ends, accelerating the layout of strategic emerging industries and future industries, breaking the 100 billion yuan mark in the revenue of the new material sector, and speeding up the transformation and upgrading of the basic building materials industry. Promote the integration of digitalization, internationalization and greening, draw the "1254" digital development blueprint, set sail the "ten-year overseas reengineering" strategy, and help achieve the "double carbon" goal with the green development of the whole life cycle. We should take various measures to promote the process of new industrialization, vigorously develop new quality productive forces, and highlight our responsibilities in implementing major national strategies and serving the construction of a new development pattern.
We should innovate and tackle key problems, and promote high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-reliance in the whole region. Adhering to the "four orientations", we have made new breakthroughs in promoting the construction of the origin of original technology, and the first phase of the project has achieved fruitful results. It has undertaken a number of national key research tasks and R & D plans, tackled a number of "bottleneck" technologies such as low-carbon cement, carbon fiber composites for large aircraft, glass solidification refractories for high-level radioactive waste liquid, and rotary furnaces for lithium-ion anode materials of 10000 tons, and many new materials have been successfully applied to Shenzhou, Kuaizhou and other countries. We will concentrate on building "the great material of the country" and make new contributions to the construction of a powerful material country.
We are determined to reform and make every effort to build a modern new state-owned enterprise full of vitality. The three-year reform action of the Group was successfully concluded, and the reform deepening and upgrading action was implemented from a high starting point, and it was selected to create a world-class demonstration enterprise. We will continue to improve the modern corporate governance of state-owned enterprises with Chinese characteristics, deepen the reform of operating mechanisms, and promote the scientific and effective implementation of medium- and long-term incentives. Implement value creation actions, implement comprehensive budget management, strengthen compliance management, and enrich and upgrade the "three fine management". With the courage and drive to carry out the reform to the end, we have forged a new model of state-owned capital investment companies in the material industry with ingenuity. We should
strengthen our roots and cast our souls, and lay a solid ideological foundation for the "great man of the country". Highlight the same questions and answers, achieve linkage and penetration, and promote thematic education in the process of deep learning and careful practice. Deep integration of Party building and management, more firm ideological beliefs, more solid talent base, more powerful management of the Party, more cohesive publicity culture, comprehensive and in-depth promotion of strict governance of the Party, high-quality Party building to lead and ensure high-quality development. We will unswervingly be loyal supporters of the "two establishments" and demonstration leaders of the "two safeguards", consolidate the foundation, cultivate the vitality and cohesion, and move forward in the new journey towards the world's first-class.
Over the past year, our efforts have spread all over the world: we have undertaken, operated and maintained more than 100 projects in dozens of countries, signed an agreement to jointly build a "the Belt and Road" material joint laboratory in North Africa, and rolled out the first overseas wind turbine blade in Brazil. Build the world's largest single high-performance carbon fiber base, offline the world's longest 100-meter-class recyclable wind power blades, and start the largest cement carbon capture project in China. Actively serve the Hangzhou Asian Games, help rural revitalization, support flood control and flood fighting, and donate 10 million yuan to the forefront of earthquake relief in Gansu. In the "the Belt and Road" Summit Forum and Import Expo, 96 enterprises are confident and open to the world, ESG's vivid practice is on CCTV's "Dialogue" and "China Daily", and nine materials are on the "Pillar Material".
2023 is warm and powerful. Along the way, we crossed mountains and ridges. All the exciting breakthroughs and achievements seem to be a few words, but behind them are countless dreams and practical responsibilities, the persistent belief of one heart and one mind, the fearless spirit of struggle, and the great strength of unity. Thanks to every Chinese building materials person! Change the
order of the year, carry forward the past and forge ahead into the future. Past efforts will be integrated into the future and become our confidence and strength to continue to move forward. 2024 is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the key year to achieve the objectives and tasks of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the year for the Group to accelerate the cultivation of new quality productivity and build new industrial pillars. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, under the correct leadership of SASASAC of the State Council and with the strong support of the China Building Materials Federation, we should focus on the absolute principle and primary task of high-quality development, pay attention to the promotion of the "five values", give full play to the role of the national team and the main force of the non-metallic materials industry, and cherish the "great power of the country". Build the "big material of the country", adhere to the "two ends" of the basic building materials industry and strategic emerging industries, speed up the construction of a modern industrial system, enhance the core functions, improve the core competitiveness, and strive to implement the major mission entrusted by the Party Central Committee to the state-owned central enterprises into the development of the main business of the group, and go steadily and far on the road of high-quality development. The
