On October 13, the Development and Reform Commission of Hebei Province issued the List of Independent Energy Storage Pilot Projects with Multiple Technology Routes to be Arranged in Hebei Province, which included 97 hybrid technology independent energy storage projects with a total scale of 13.82 GW/47.03 GWh.
Among them, there are 53 projects in southern Hebei, 6.65 GW/22.34 GWh, and 44 projects in northern Hebei, 7.17 GW/24.69 GWh.
From the perspective of project owners, the State Power Investment Corporation, Cangzhou Financial Holdings and Duanrui Science and Technology are the leading companies, with the selected scales of 700MW/1820MWh, 400MW/1600MWh and 400MW/1483.6M Wh respectively.
This batch of projects basically adopt the mixed technology route of lithium iron phosphate and other technologies. The number of projects using lithium iron phosphate + sodium ion technology is 46, with a scale of 6.3GW/21.06 GWh. The projects using lithium iron phosphate + all-vanadium liquid flow technology route are 1.4G W/4.9 GWh, and the projects using lithium iron phosphate + solid (solid/quasi-solid/semi-solid) technology route are 1.27 GW/4.68 GWh.

Hebei Province plans to arrange independent energy storage pilot projects with multiple technology routes in
accordance with the Notice on Organizing and Developing Independent Energy Storage Pilot Projects with Multiple Technology Routes (Ji Fa Gai Neng yuan [2025] No.526) and the Notice on Organizing and Developing Independent Energy Storage Pilot Projects with Multiple Technology Routes. According to the requirements of the Supplementary Notice on the Declaration of Line Independent Energy Storage Pilot Projects (Ji Fa Gai Neng yuan [2025] No.934), the projects that meet the declaration requirements are now publicized after the preliminary examination and recommendation by the municipalities, the examination of the access conditions by the power grid companies and the examination of the basic requirements of the projects by the third-party consulting units. There are 97
