Completion of concrete pouring for the third section of caisson foundation of north anchorage of north channel bridge of Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge

On June 23, the concrete pouring of the third section of the caisson foundation of the north anchorage of the North Channel Bridge of Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge was completed, with a single pouring volume of 5160 cubic meters. of Zhangjinggao Yangtze River Bridge is the largest caisson foundation of highway bridge in China. The caisson foundation is 75 meters long, 70 meters wide and 57 meters high. It is divided into 11 sections with an area equivalent to 13 basketball courts. The construction of the third section of the caisson foundation took a total of 24 days. During the construction process, the ZJG-A5 bid project department reasonably organized the construction process, continuously optimized the technology, overcome the difficulties of widening and refitting the cantilever formwork, refitting and lifting the construction frame platform, and completed the construction task three days ahead of schedule. After the concrete pouring of the third section of

the caisson foundation is completed, the construction of the fourth section will be carried out to start the first sinking of the caisson, which is also the only dewatering sinking.
