On September 20, Nord announced that in order to actively respond to the national goal of "double carbon" and meet the company's demand for self-use electricity, Nord Shengshi, a holding subsidiary of Nord, and Huangshi Jingkai District, Hubei Province, intend to sign the "Project Investment Contract" to invest in the construction of the zero-carbon Intelligent Industrial Park project of Nord Optical Storage Power Station. The total investment in fixed assets is planned to be 5.2 billion yuan.
It is reported that the project plans to build 500MW distributed photovoltaic power station project, 1500MWh industrial and commercial energy storage power station project, distribution network, charging station and other facilities in Huangshi Jingkai District. When completed and put into operation, it will provide about 580 million degrees of clean energy and green electricity annually, save 170000 tons of standard coal annually, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 50000 tons annually. The first phase of the industrial park is scheduled to be completed and operated in June 2024, and the second and third phases of the project are scheduled to be completed and operated in April 2026.
Nord's announcement said that the signing of the agreement is in line with the relevant national industrial policies and the company's strategic development layout, and will help to fully tap and enhance the company's resource advantages and operational capabilities in the field of photovoltaic power generation, achieve effective resource integration and complementary advantages, and promote the development of photovoltaic power generation. Consolidate and expand the company's comprehensive competitive advantage.
