On October 12, workers were busy transporting raw materials in the production workshop of Neijiang Rongtong Hi-Tech Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., located in Dongxing Jingkai District, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province.
As the largest industrial project in the history of industrial investment in Dongxing District, the first phase of Neijiang Rongtong Lithium Battery Cathode Material Project has been put into full operation, and is now in the normal production stage, with eight kilns corresponding to sintering every day, producing 120 tons of lithium iron phosphate cathode material products every day, reaching 225 tons after full production. The products are mainly used in new energy vehicle batteries and energy storage batteries.
It is reported that Neijiang Rongtong Hi-Tech Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. was established in January 2022 and is a key investment attraction enterprise in Dongxing District. The project covers an area of 1000 mu with a total investment of about 7.1 billion yuan. It includes the construction of 160000 tons of lithium iron phosphate cathode materials, 160000 tons of self-use iron phosphate, 160000 tons of lithium battery recycling projects, and the construction of 40000 tons of lithium manganese phosphate cathode materials and 40000 tons of manganese phosphate precursor production line.
The project products are widely used in new energy vehicles, power energy storage and 5G communication energy storage systems. It is estimated that the annual output value will reach 10 billion yuan, the tax revenue will be about 350 million yuan, and more than 1600 people will be employed.
It is understood that the second phase of the project will be officially launched at the end of November this year.
