We should take resolute and effective actions and rigorous and meticulous measures to carry out comprehensive and thorough rectification.
The meeting emphasized that, first, the governments of Panyu and Nansha districts should implement the main responsibility of rectification, accelerate the construction of Guangzhou Sea Sand Desalination Plant, and ensure that the production is completed before the end of the year. Second, the governments of Huangpu, Panyu, Nansha, Zengcheng and other four offshore districts should further implement their territorial responsibilities, strengthen routine inspection and supervision, and resolutely avoid the resurgence of illegal sand and mud washing in Dongjiang North Main Waterway, Lianhuashan Waterway and Hongqili Waterway in Guangzhou. Thirdly, the two levels of river chief offices in urban areas should continue to carry out multi-sectoral joint law enforcement, increase the frequency of inspection, intensify the crackdown, and maintain a high-pressure and severe crackdown situation.
