On April 7, the Intelligent Management Sub-Center of Panyu Maritime Department launched a special campaign to crack down on illegal sand washing and soaking, and found three cases of ships suspected of illegal sand washing and soaking. Among them, "Huihua Airlines XXX" was loaded with sea sand, and during the inspection by law enforcement officers, it was found that the ship could not provide proof of the source of the sand, while "Guangdong Guangzhou Cargo XXXX" and "Guangdong Shunying XXX" two sand-carrying ships violated the fire control regulations, opened holes in the main deck fire main and connected water pipes privately, and the Panyu Marine Department immediately took measures. Illegal and illegal vessels shall be dealt with in accordance with legal procedures.
Law enforcement officers conducted a comprehensive inspection
of suspected ships. It is understood that the "Measures for the Management of Sand Washing in Guangdong Province" was formally implemented on April 1. In order to actively implement the relevant provisions of sand washing management, Panyu Maritime Department organized a "special action to combat illegal sand washing and soaking". Since the launch of the operation, Panyu Maritime Department has checked more than 500 ships in the waters under its jurisdiction, found more than 10 suspected illegal acts, and detained one ship in accordance with the law, and achieved good results.
