According to the requirements of the Law Enforcement Mechanism for Sand Washing Supervision in Guangdong Province (Trial Implementation) and the work deployment of Haizhu District, on May 12, 2023, the Haizhu District Water Bureau joined forces with the Guangzhou Inner Port Maritime Department, the District Housing and Construction Bureau, the District Market Supervision Bureau, the Haizhu District Bureau of the Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, and the Haizhu District Bureau of the Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau. The special law enforcement and inspection action of sand washing and mud washing in the second quarter was carried out for sand carriers on the back channel of the Pearl River. In this operation, key law enforcement personnel are selected from various units to carry out joint inspections in strict accordance with legal procedures and law enforcement disciplines, focusing on whether there are illegal acts affecting flood safety, such as illegal sand washing and mud washing, abandonment of sand or silt, and whether there are illegal acts involving ecological environment. After the

inspection, the members of the inspection team carried out law enforcement exchanges, shared the experience of joint supervision and law enforcement of sand and mud washing, and condensed the consensus of cracking down on illegal sand and mud washing.
