In order to maintain the cleanliness of the waters and the order of navigation, the Nansha Maritime Department recently participated in the joint law enforcement action of the District River Chief Office against illegal mud and sand washing. A total of one law enforcement boat and more than 20 law enforcement officers were dispatched in the
joint operation. During the operation, law enforcement officers inspected the coastal wharfs and passing ships in the Shazili waterway and Xiaohuli waterway, focusing on the inspection of sea sand and mountain mud (construction waste) transport vessels, the inspection of the legality of ships (whether they are illegally loaded with sand-washing, sand-soaking equipment, etc.), the inspection of sand and mud transport qualifications, and the inspection of sand and mud sources. Strictly crack down on the use of "three nothingness" ships, illegal refitting of ships and illegal loading, transportation, washing and other illegal activities.
The Nansha Maritime Department will continue to cooperate with all units and actively participate in joint actions such as cracking down on illegal sand and mud washing, so as to effectively eliminate hidden dangers of water safety in its jurisdiction and maintain clean waters and smooth waterways.
