Nansha Marine Department actively participates in joint law enforcement actions against sand and mud washing in Nansha District

In order to implement the Implementation Plan for Establishing Closed-loop Management Mechanism of "Three Managements and Three Necessaries" for Safe Production in Nansha District, In response to the Notice on Organizing and Launching the Joint Law Enforcement Action to Crack Down on Illegal Sand and Mud Washing in Nansha District in February 2022 issued by the District River Chief Office, the joint law enforcement action to normalize water traffic safety was carried out to strengthen the coordinated management of water traffic safety. On February 22, the Nansha Maritime Department participated in the joint law enforcement action to crack down on sand and mud washing. During the

joint operation, the Joint Inspection Unit conducted on-site cruises to inspect whether there were illegal sand-washing and mud-washing vessels in the lower Hengli and Hongqili waterways, and severely cracked down on the use of "three nothingness" vessels, illegal refitting of vessels and illegal loading, transportation and washing. During the operation, the Joint Inspection Unit focused on the inspection of sand and mud carriers, the seaworthiness of ships, the qualification of ship transportation and the source of sand and mud. No illegal ships suspected of washing sand and mud were found in this inspection.

Next, the Nansha Maritime Department will continue to work with its member units to carry out regular joint inspection activities on water traffic safety, eliminate hidden dangers of water safety in its jurisdiction, and help the construction and development of Dawan District.
