On December 12, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced that the total output of lithium batteries in China exceeded 185 GWh in September-October, an increase of 17% over the same period last year, according to the announcement of enterprise information and industry associations of lithium battery industry norms. It is mainly divided into three links: battery, first-order material and second-order material.
The details are as follows:
Operation of
the national lithium-ion battery industry from September to October 2023 From September to October 2023, China's lithium-ion battery (hereinafter referred to as "lithium battery") industry continued to grow. According to the announcement of enterprise information and industry associations of lithium battery industry norms, the total output of lithium batteries in China exceeded 185 GWh in September-October, an increase of 17% over the same period last year. In
the battery sector , the output of energy storage lithium batteries exceeded 38 GWh in September-October, and the loading volume of power lithium batteries for new energy vehicles was about 76 GWh. Export trade continued to grow, with the total export volume of lithium batteries in September-October reaching 82.46 billion yuan, an increase of 21% over the same period last year. From September to October
, the output of cathode materials, cathode materials, diaphragms and electrolytes reached 430000 tons, 300000 tons, 2.7 billion square meters and 200000 tons respectively, with an increase of more than 25%. In
the second stage material link , the output of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide from September to October is about 81,000 tons and 46,000 tons respectively, and the average price of battery-grade lithium carbonate and battery-grade lithium hydroxide (micro-powder grade) is 178,000 yuan/ton and 175,000 yuan/ton respectively.
According to the summary information, the total output of lithium batteries in China from January to October exceeded 765 GWh, an increase of 31% over the same period last year.
It should be noted that the price of lithium batteries has continued to decline in the near future, with the average price of battery core and battery-grade lithium salt falling by 50% and 60% respectively compared with the beginning of 2023.
