According to foreign media reports, at about 4 P. M. on August 8, a fire broke out at the factory of Xinyi Solar Energy in JIIPE Special Economic Zone, Jinshi County, East Java Province, Indonesia, causing a worker's leg burns.
Witnesses said that the workers used the existing equipment to put out the fire spontaneously for the first time and called for fire fighting. Finally, after about 45 minutes of fighting, the fire was brought under control at about 4:45 P. M. that day.

According to local police, the fire broke out in the No.6 and No.7 coating furnace area of the factory area. According to the current situation, welding operations were being carried out in the area at the time of the accident, and pipeline leakage was suspected. The police initially suspected that the welding spark touched the ethanol and caused the fire to burn, causing the fire to expand rapidly.
However, the police stressed that this was only a preliminary judgment, and the real cause of the fire needed further investigation and confirmation. According to

According to the company's interim performance report for 2026, Two glass production lines with a total daily melting capacity of 2400 tons (2 * 1200 t/d) are planned for the first phase of Xinyi Solar's production base in Indonesia, and the second production line is expected to be put into operation in 2026. The planned daily melting capacity of the second phase is 2300 tons.
