The Oman Future Fund, the state investment agency of

the Gulf Sultanate, said recently that it had mobilized about $2.04 billion (about 14.1 billion yuan) in investment to accelerate the development of the country's renewable energy and clean technology industries.

Among them, the key projects supported include United Solar's $1.6 billion solar-grade polysilicon manufacturing plant and JA Solar's 6GW solar cell manufacturing plant in Sohar Port and Free Zone.

It is reported that the United Solar Company's solar-grade polysilicon manufacturing plant, with a planned capacity of 100,000 tons, was announced on March 11, 2024, with an investment of $1.6 billion, and is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

The project has created more than 1000 jobs and created more than 317 million US dollars in local value, while attracting the attention of international development financial institutions.
