The statistical data of crude steel output in all parts of the country from January to August 2025 show that the cumulative output of crude steel in the whole country has a certain scale, and the overall trend is declining year on year. There is a significant difference in the output and the year-on-year change in each region, of which the year-on-year change in Qinghai is more prominent, reaching 19.51%; the year-on-year change in Shanghai is relatively slow, -0.23%. Some areas, such as Beijing and Hainan, have not counted the output data. The year-on-year change of crude steel output in different regions reflects the different development of iron and steel production in different regions during this period.
From January to August
2025, the total output of crude steel in China was 671.806 million tons, down 2.80% from the same period last year. In terms of regional data, the output of Hebei is the highest, which is 14198 6300 tons, while that of Qinghai is the lowest, which is only 1036000 tons. On a year-on-year basis, 7 provinces rose and 20 provinces fell, with the largest decline in Guizhou (-14.17%) and the largest increase in Qinghai (19.51%).
