According to the data released by Inner Mongolia Statistical Bureau, from January to October, Inner Mongolia's industrial added value above the scale increased by 12.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate increased by 0.1 and 0.2 percentage points respectively from January to September and from January to August.
From the perspective of industry, from January to October, the ten major industries in Inner Mongolia all showed an upward trend. The agricultural and sideline food processing industry, ferrous metal mining and processing industry and non-ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry grew rapidly, with the added value increasing by 19.5%, 18.7% and 17.1% respectively, 1.6, 18.2 and 1.0 percentage points faster than in 2012. From January to October, the added value of non-public industries in Inner Mongolia increased by 12.7%, 0.4 percentage points higher than average level of the whole region, 3.6 percentage points higher than state-owned enterprises, 2.8 percentage points higher than state-owned holding enterprises and 0.3 percentage points higher than collective enterprises. In terms of product output, cement increased by 5.1%, steel increased by 8.1%, power generation increased by 8.9%, and electrolytic aluminum increased by 3.4%. From January to October, the sales rate of industrial products in the whole region was 97.1%, 0.1 percentage points faster than same period last year. The growth rate of industrial added value above the scale of 12 League cities is above 12%, of which Hohhot has the fastest growth rate (16.8%), which is 4.5 percentage points higher than average level of the whole region. From January to October, the electricity consumption of the whole society in Inner Mongolia was 179.094 billion kWh, an increase of 6.1%, 0.9 and 1.4 percentage points faster than that in January-September and January-August respectively; the industrial electricity consumption increased steadily at a low level, rising to 4.7% and 5.7% in January-September and January-October respectively after the annual low (4.2%) growth in January-August.
