On the 15th, Nantong, Shanghai, Suzhou and Taizhou jointly launched the third quarter joint Qingjiang operation in the Yangtze River waters of Jiangsu and Shanghai to crack down on illegal sand mining in the Yangtze River and maintain the order of sand mining management in the Yangtze River. Liu Hong, Vice Mayor of Nantong City, participated in the event.
In the morning, the law enforcement boats set out from their respective bases, carrying nearly 100 law enforcement officers to cruise the Yangtze River, meeting in the floating waters of the Yangtze River No.50, the floating waters of the Yangtze River No.30, the floating waters of the Yangtze River No.20, and the red floating waters of the Yangtze River No. B7, respectively, to conduct a full coverage inspection of the river surface, the river course, the harbor branch, and the anchorage within their jurisdiction. Emphasis should be placed on strengthening the inspection of inter-provincial, inter-city and inter-county handover waters. During the cruise, law enforcement officers regularly publicized laws and regulations such as the Yangtze River Protection Law and the Anti-Organized Crime Law. In
this operation, the law enforcement departments of the four places cooperated pragmatically to conduct a comprehensive clean-up of the border waters between Jiangsu and Shanghai. No illegal sand mining activities and illegal movement of sand dredgers were found during the river patrol, and no criminal forces and umbrellas were found.
