Recently, the Yangtze River Commission, in conjunction with the water resources departments of Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, organized a law enforcement action to patrol the Yangtze River in the border waters between Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces, continuously consolidating and deepening the joint cooperation mechanism of sand mining management in the main stream of the Yangtze River in the border waters between provinces, and earnestly maintaining the good order of sand mining management in the Yangtze River.
The joint river patrol law enforcement action was carried out simultaneously in two groups, upstream and downstream, covering the main stream of the Yangtze River from Yangxin County, Huangshi City, to Dongzhi County, Chizhou City. At 8.30 A. M. on 30 May, The upstream and downstream groups carried out law enforcement operations in opposite directions by law enforcement vessels from the law enforcement base of the Hubei-Jiangxi Brigade and the law enforcement base of the Jiangxi-Anhui Brigade of the Yangtze River Commission's inter-provincial border sand mining management site. The water administrative departments of Huangshi, Huanggang, Jiujiang, Anqing, Chizhou and related counties (cities and districts) along the Yangtze River, the sand mining management departments and the on-site law enforcement detachments of the inter-provincial border sand mining management of the Yangtze River Commission, the Jiujiang Branch of the Changhang Public Security Bureau and the Jiujiang Branch of the Yangtze River Maritime Bureau dispatched law enforcement boats to participate in the river patrol law enforcement operations in their respective jurisdictions. The operation focused on river branches, wharfs, sand yards, water barging areas, anchorages and ship repair sites, cleaned up and checked the "three nothingness" and "invisible" sand mining vessels, inspected the management of centralized berthing points of sand-related vessels on the spot, and compared and inspected the legal source certificates of sand and gravel held by sand transport vessels. 45 A. m., the upstream and downstream groups met at the water joint law enforcement base in Hukou County, Jiujiang City.
The joint river patrol and law enforcement operation inspected about 160 kilometers of the river section, with a total of 13 law enforcement boats and more than 170 law enforcement officers. No sand-related violations were found during the inspection, and the sand mining management order in the river section at the junction of the three provinces was stable and controllable. After the river
patrol law enforcement action, the Yangtze River Commission hosted a symposium on sand mining management in the border waters of Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces in Jiujiang City, summarized and exchanged the previous work, analyzed and judged the current situation, studied and deployed the next step, and firmly promoted the further implementation of the regional cooperation linkage mechanism of sand mining management in the border waters of Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui provinces.
