Seven companies in Singapore create pollution-free concrete manufacturing method

2003-04-10 00:00:00
Recently, Singapore's construction industry is committed to reforming the way of operation and developing environmentally friendly products to reduce environmental pollution. Seven construction companies have joined hands to create a pollution-free integrated concrete production process, which breaks through the traditional integrated production method and saves both environmental protection and space, with an estimated annual saving of 2.1 million Singapore yuan.

The new method uses containers to store the raw materials for making concrete, and the sealed dry raw materials are transported by mixing trucks to concrete mixing stations near the construction site to mix with cement slurry and other materials to make concrete.   The development was organised by RDC Concrete, Singapore. Williams, business development manager of RDC, said that the new manufacturing method eliminated the process of transporting raw materials to the mixing plant by dump trucks, simplified the processing of concrete raw materials, and improved the efficiency of processing raw materials through automated equipment, which is a "world-first" concrete manufacturing method.
