On May 20, Zhonghuan New Energy announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Zhonghuan Low Carbon, will sign a strategic cooperation agreement with Suzhou Black Crown Photoelectric Technology Co., Ltd. The
announcement on joint research and development of space applications disclosed that the cooperation mainly included four aspects , namely, cooperation with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics; Jointly research and develop the core technology of perovskite/crystalline silicon tandem battery; establish a pilot production line for pilot verification of large-size batteries; establish a space environment adaptability test and evaluation system; and establish a joint venture company to promote technology industrialization and commercial operation.
It is responsible for developing the preparation process of large-size laminated batteries, carrying out large-scale preparation process optimization and performance testing to verify the consistency of mass production, and coordinating with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics to ensure the effective integration of production, education and research. Black-crown Optoelectronics has established a deep cooperative relationship with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics." It will be mainly responsible for coordinating the research and development of the upper perovskite battery preparation process and the optimization of the stack structure with Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, leading the formulation of the overall technology roadmap, developing the stability mechanism research, completing the research and development of laboratory-scale small-size stacked batteries and related performance verification, and providing necessary facilities and on-site support while guiding the pilot research and development work.
According to the cooperation plan, within six months after the signing of the agreement, the two sides will jointly establish a joint venture company, tentatively named "Central Black Crown Space Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd." , with a registered capital of 5 million yuan.
The joint venture will be 55% and 45% owned by Zhonghuan Low Carbon and Black Crown Optoelectronics respectively, and its business scope is research and development, production, sales and technical services related to space photovoltaic cells .
In fact, the entry of Central New Energy into space photovoltaic has long been traceable.
