On May 14-17, the River Sand Mining Management Office of the Department of River and Lake Management of the Ministry of Water Resources led a research team to investigate and guide the management of sand mining in small and medium-sized rivers in Jiangxi Province, accompanied by Wu Yiquan, former first-level inspector of the Provincial Department of Water Resources, and accompanied by relevant comrades from the River Sand Mining and River and Lake Management Bureau of the Yangtze River Commission and the River and Lake Division of the Provincial Poyang Lake Construction Office.
The research team went to Wuning County Chengtou Sandstone Management Co., Ltd., Lixi Xiafang Mining Area of Wuning County, Yongxiu County Lui I Mining Area, Longan River (Tanxi Section) Dredging Sandstone Comprehensive Utilization Section, Jiujiang City Yangtze River Joint Law Enforcement Base, Jiujiang City West Sandstone Distribution Center and other places to carry out research, and held a symposium. In-depth exchanges and technical guidance were conducted on the planning, licensing, on-site supervision and management of sand mining in small and medium-sized rivers in Jiangxi Province, as well as the comprehensive utilization of dredged sand and gravel.
The research team highly affirmed the construction of sand mining laws and regulations in Jiangxi Province, the implementation of unified government mining management, the source management of sand mining vessels, and the standardized and orderly comprehensive utilization of dredged sand and gravel. River sand mining is required to continue to unswervingly achieve green mining and harmonious coexistence of human and water, scientifically formulate a new round of river sand mining planning, dredge sand and gravel comprehensive utilization projects to achieve "really necessary", and promote the high-quality development of river sand mining. The research team emphasized that the management of river sand mining in Jiangxi has been in the forefront of the country, and hoped that the relevant departments of provinces and municipalities would do a good job in summarizing and promoting the experience.
