Recently, the concrete pouring of the entrance guide wall of Luqu Tunnel of Xicheng Railway, which was constructed by the Tenth Bureau of China Railway, was completed, marking that the tunnel project in the tender section formally entered the main construction stage, sounding the charge of Xicheng Railway construction.
The newly-built Xining-Chengdu Railway is located in the border area of Qinghai, Gansu and Sichuan provinces, with a total length of 836.5 kilometers and a design speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The Luqu Tunnel, which completed the pouring of the entrance guide wall, has a total length of 4389.9 meters. The tunnel runs parallel to the Tao River and passes through the forest farm. The ecology along the tunnel is fragile. The surrounding rock of the tunnel is mainly Grade IV and Grade V. The geological structure is complex. The main unfavorable geology is high ground stress. There is collapsible loess in some sections. The base is treated with steel pipe piles. The construction is difficult and the environmental protection requirements are extremely high.
