Mozambique, Huaxin Matola Kiln Line Recovery Project with a daily output of 2000 tons in Mozambique held an ignition and commissioning ceremony, marking the full completion of capacity upgrading, equipment quality improvement and operation efficiency improvement in Matola. It further consolidates the industrial layout of Huaxin in the southeastern region of Africa and effectively enhances the core competitiveness and brand influence of enterprises in the African market. of Huaxin Building Materials Group, Fernando Barreto, General Manager of Mozambique, as well as the project construction team, Matola factory managers and front-line employees, totaling more than 100 people, attended the ceremony to witness the important moment of project commissioning.
Wang Jiajun said that the project is an important achievement of Huaxin's deep cultivation of the Mozambican market and the deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Africa. The efficient and high-quality landing of the project highlights the pragmatic and efficient "Huaxin speed" and corporate responsibility. Huaxin will continue to take root in territorial development, strictly control production safety and product quality, ensure smooth and efficient operation of production lines, and strive to build a mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation benchmark project between China and Mozambique.
Fernando Barreto said that the factory team will continue to cultivate territorial operations, improve quality and efficiency, release production capacity, and contribute to the development of Mozambique.
Huaxin officially took over Cimentos de Mo çambique in December 2023, with five cement plants. Among them, the Matola plant is located in the south of Mozambique, adjacent to the capital Maputo and the port, with significant geographical advantages and precise coverage of the local core cement consumption market. In order to meet the needs of regional infrastructure development, revitalize the stock capacity and upgrade the production system iteratively, the project officially began upgrading and transformation in March this year. The project adheres to high-standard construction and high-quality landing throughout the project, relying on Huaxin's mature new dry-process cement technology and advanced operation and maintenance system, completing equipment optimization, process upgrading, plant supporting improvement and other work, and striving to build a localized, modern, green and efficient overseas building materials production base.
