July 2026, according to the statistics of Guangdong Province's investment record management system, a total of 7941 new photovoltaic projects were filed in Guangdong Province, with a total investment of more than 8.258 billion yuan, including 5008 household photovoltaic projects. There are 2322 industrial and commercial photovoltaic projects, 369 public resource utilization photovoltaic projects, 131 "photovoltaic plus" projects, 78 whole (city, town, county) promotion projects, 31 photovoltaic (storage) and charging integration projects, 1 composite photovoltaic project and 1 offshore photovoltaic project. The total capacity is 2256.93 MW. In
July 2026, a total of 2322 new industrial and commercial photovoltaic projects were added in Guangdong Province, with a total investment of over 3.434 billion yuan. The projects are mainly distributed in Dongguan and Zhongshan, with more than 200 items on record.
From the perspective of capacity, the top three cities of industrial and commercial photovoltaic construction capacity in July 2026 are Dongguan 137.03 MW, Foshan 92.02 MW and Zhanjiang 86.34 MW, accounting for 31.51% of the industrial and commercial photovoltaic record capacity in July 2026, which is the first echelon of industrial and commercial photovoltaic development in July. In addition, Zhongshan, Guangzhou and Jiangmen all exceed 60 MW, which is the second echelon.
Among all the announced industrial and commercial photovoltaic projects, the project with the highest investment is the third phase of Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project, which was invested by China Construction Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. for 94 million yuan.
This project plans to use the existing 246,500 square meters of roof of Baosteel Zhanjiang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. to build a distributed photovoltaic project. The main equipment includes components , inverters and steel brackets. 4,589 720 Wp PV modules are arranged, with an installed capacity of 28.85 MW and an estimated annual power generation of 35.9565 million kwh, all of which are self-generated and self-used.
From the perspective of the construction unit, in July 2026, there were 1343 enterprises participating in the registered industrial and commercial photovoltaic projects in Guangdong Province, including state-owned enterprises such as Huadian and Sinopec, and private enterprises such as Taihe Huisheng New Energy and Mingtai Green Energy Technology.
From the perspective of the number of investment by construction units: Dongguan Taihe Huisheng New Energy Co., Ltd. has the largest number of registered industrial and commercial photovoltaic projects, 91; Dongguan Yangyue New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. and Foshan Mingtai Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. rank second and third with 66 and 43 projects respectively;
From the perspective of investment in construction units, Yangjiang Green Energy New Energy Co., Ltd. ranked first with 120 million yuan, followed by China Construction Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Qingyuan Yangqingxin Energy Co., Ltd. ranked third.
