On March 31, the project of photovoltaic hydrogen production and hydrogen energy supporting industry in Luquan District of Shijiazhuang, China, successfully produced the first green hydrogen . This hydrogen production successfully verified the feasibility of the off-grid hydrogen production process of photovoltaic power generation and the reliability of equipment operation, marking a new step in the layout of green hydrogen construction in China.

The project is located in Luquan District, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province, with a total investment of 3.2 billion yuan. Its business scope includes the application of hydrogen production technology by electrolysis of water, the construction and operation of comprehensive energy station, etc. The first phase of the project focuses on the construction of photovoltaic off-grid hydrogen production devices, supporting the construction of photovoltaic new energy power stations and electrochemical energy storage facilities, with a hydrogen production capacity of 2600 tons per year and a by-product liquid oxygen 19820 of tons per year.

The project adopts advanced alkaline water electrolysis hydrogen production process, relying on high-quality photovoltaic resources in Luquan District, to achieve "direct supply of green electricity, zero-carbon hydrogen production", each side of hydrogen comes from clean renewable energy , and the whole production process has no carbon emissions. After the

project is completed and put into operation, the green hydrogen produced will be widely used in industrial decarbonization, transportation fuel, energy storage peak shaving and other fields, which will further improve the layout of hydrogen energy industry in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and contribute to the prosperity and development of hydrogen energy industry during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
