On June 30, the Bureau of Ecology and Environment of Urumqi, Xinjiang, issued a public announcement on the approval decision of the EIA document for the 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic project in Midong District, Hongqiao, Beijing.
The announcement shows that the project is located in Beishawo, Midong District, Urumqi City, with a total investment of 5 billion yuan and a permanent area of 64,287,888 square meters. Main construction contents: the total installed capacity is 2,000 MW , and the photovoltaic power generation system has 418 photovoltaic arrays and 6667 inverters . 416 units of 4500 kVA box transformers and 2 units of 1600 kV A box transformers. A total of 3,813,5 24 monocrystalline silicon solar cell modules with a power of 625Wp were installed, all of which were in the form of fixed brackets.
The project construction unit is Xinjiang Hongqiao Green Energy New Energy Technology Development Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Xinjiang Hongqiao Green Energy").
Previously, on June 10, Beijing Hongqiao Midong District 2 million kilowatt photovoltaic project (a bid section of 500000 kilowatts) EPC project general contracting tender announcement was issued, the tenderer is Xinjiang Hongqiao Green Energy.
The tender announcement shows that the tender scope of the EPC project includes two parts: design and construction. The construction part includes materials, equipment procurement, installation, commissioning and other related work.
The project was originally scheduled to open at 11:00 on July 1, 2026, but was postponed to 11:00 on July 15 on June 27. The reasons for the delay were not explained in the announcement.
