On September 28, the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region announced the implementation list of the photovoltaic sand control experimental project in Alxa League.
The announcement shows that the implementation list of the experimental project has a scale of 5.5 million kilowatts , a total of five projects, and the task area of sand control is 220000 mu. The main body of the project involves CGN , China Power Construction , Huadian Group and Huaneng Group .
On June 1, the Energy Bureau of Alxa League and the Forestry and Grassland Bureau of Alxa League of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region launched the competitive allocation of photovoltaic sand control experimental projects.
Among them, the installed capacity in Azuo Banner of Wulanbuhe Desert is 2 million kilowatts, and 80,000 mu of desertified land is harnessed; the installed capacity in Alashan High-tech Zone of Wulanbuhe Desert is 2 million kilowatts, and 80,000 mu of desertified land is harnessed; The Tengger Desert Luanjingtan Demonstration Zone has an installed capacity of 1.5 million kilowatts and controls 60000 mu of desertified land.
In addition, on June 7, the Energy Bureau of Ordos City, Inner Mongolia announced the results of the photovoltaic sand control project in 2026, with a total scale of 6GW. The main applicants involved central enterprises such as Datang Group, CGN, CECEP and Huarun New Energy, as well as enterprises such as Baofeng New Energy and Ordos New Energy Development and Utilization Co., Ltd.
