, Yunnan Province Project Overview: Kunming Anning 350 MW Compressed Air Energy Storage Demonstration Project is a new type of energy storage project. It is proposed to use the decommissioned salt caverns of Kunming Salt Mine as gas storage, and build air compression system, heat storage and exchange system and turbine power generation system on the ground. The power station is connected to the main power grid of Kunming, belonging to the energy storage facilities on the grid side, with a construction investment of about 1.832 billion yuan.

The project site is located within the scope of Kunming Salt Mine in the west of Taiping New Town, Anning City. The primary plant site is located in the northeast corner within the mining right range of Kunming Salt Mine, adjacent to Taiping New Town, 7 km away from the urban area of Anning City in the west and 13 km away from the main urban area of Kunming City in the east. To the northwest of the project site is the Brine Mining Branch of the Salt Mine, and to the southeast is the residential area. According to the site survey, the proposed plant site is about 350m long from north to south and about 310m wide from east to west. The longitude and latitude of the plant site center are E102.57 ° and N24.94 °. The elevation of the plant site is 2000 ~ 2025m, and the proposed land area is 213 mu (including slope, construction land, etc.). This project plans to use four old salt caverns of An 1, An 2, An 3 and An 4 as gas storage. The burial depth of the salt caverns is 514 ~ 575 m, and the total volume measured by the sonar cavity in 2024 is about 600,000 cubic meters. It is considered to increase the available insoluble void volume through gas injection and halogen discharge, and the total available volume of An1-An4 is 980,000 m3.

Construction period requirements: Total construction period: 600 natural days (20 months). The specific commencement date shall be subject to the commencement order issued by the supervisor, and the total calendar days of the construction period shall remain unchanged.
