local time, China Power Construction Group and Algeria Gas and Power Group Renewable Energy Company (Sonelgaz-EnR) signed an EPC contract for Algeria's 154 MW photovoltaic power plant project.
It is reported that the project is located in Beshar Province, Algeria, with a total construction period of 12 months , using the world's leading double-sided double-glass N-type TOPCon high-efficiency components, and equipped with intelligent operation and maintenance management platform. The installed capacity of the DC side of the
project is 154 MW , and the average annual power generation is expected to reach 340 million kWh after completion, which is equivalent to reducing 255,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions (equivalent to the environmental benefits of planting 25.5 million trees). The implementation of the project will create 1500 local jobs and promote the development of upstream and downstream industrial chains such as photovoltaic modules , brackets and electrical equipment.
Earlier, on March 14, 2024, local time, China Electric Power Construction has signed EPC contracts for 220 MW and 150 MW photovoltaic projects with Sonelgaz-EnR, an Algerian gas-fired power group. These two projects are two sections of the first batch of 15g W photovoltaic projects planned for 2035 in Algeria.
