On April 18, Daquan Energy announced that in 2022, the company issued a shares to specific targets for the project of "100000 tons of high-purity silicon-based materials per year" . The main production facilities have met the production conditions and started operation on March 15, 2023. Recently, the first furnace of high-purity polysilicon rods in the production line was successfully discharged and successfully offline.
Daqo Energy said that the commissioning of the project marks that the company's output, quality and cost-effectiveness will leap to a new level again, which is conducive to improving the company's market share, further enhancing the company's competitiveness in the domestic high-purity polysilicon industry, and has a positive impact on the company's operating performance.
Earlier, Daqo Energy disclosed that the company's silicon production in 2022 was 134000 tons, exceeding the original forecast of 130-132000 tons, an increase of 54.5% over the 87000 tons in 2021. The sales volume of silicon materials in 2022 was 133,000 tons, an increase of 76.4% from 75,000 tons in 2021.
According to the data of Silicon Branch, the domestic polysilicon output in 2022 is about 811,000 tons, and the polysilicon output in the corresponding period of Daqo Energy is 133,800 tons, accounting for 16.50% of the domestic polysilicon output, and the scale is in the first echelon in the industry.
Daqo Energy recently issued a forecast that the company's polysilicon output in the first quarter of 2023 will be 31,000 to 32,000 tons. Considering the impact of annual production line maintenance, it is estimated that the annual output of polysilicon in 2023 will be 19-195 thousand tons .
