Lafarge Cement Plant in Zambia is expected to be completed ahead of schedule

< P > The current construction progress of Lafarge Chilanga Cement Plant has exceeded the original target. It is expected that the first phase of the project ( clinker production department) will be completed in June this year, and the whole project is expected to be put into operation in September. After the project is put into operation, the annual output of cement in Zambia will increase from 700,000 tons to 1 million tons, and part of the output will be exported. The average annual demand for cement in Zambia is 750,000 to 800,000 tons.

Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Visits Lafarge Zambian Cement Plant

On May 7, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Zhou Yuxiao was invited to visit the Lafarge Zambian Cement Plant in CHILANGA, Lusaka. Representatives of more than 10 Chinese-funded enterprises, including China Aviation International and Cathay Pacific Iron and Steel, attended the event.
