< P > < FONT face = Verdana > The pipe jacking crossing of the Mondola River, the second river of the Indian project undertaken by the Fourth Pipeline Company, was successful. This is another successful crossing after the successful crossing of the Ambika River on April 18. So far, the river pipe jacking operation undertaken by the Indian Project Department of the four companies has been completed. < P > < FONT face = Verdana > The Indian Project Department of the Fourth Company undertook the pipe jacking crossing of two rivers, Ambika and Mondola, which was the first time that the Pipeline Bureau adopted the slurry balance pipe jacking method for construction. Since the commencement of shaft construction on December 8, 2006, the personnel of the project department have overcome the unfavorable factors such as poor social support, insufficient materials and equipment, high labor intensity, hot weather and language communication difficulties, especially the application of new pipe-jacking technology, which has made the construction encounter unprecedented difficulties. In this regard, the workers involved in the construction of river pipe jacking have strengthened their confidence, carried forward the spirit of "mangrove", worked hard to tackle key problems, fought tenaciously and studied modestly, adapted to the complex geological conditions such as quicksand, pebbles and springs in open caissons, and innovatively solved many difficult problems in the process of concrete pipe prefabrication. They have made gratifying achievements while advancing towards the established goals. < P > < FONT face = Verdana > The completion of the Mondola River indicates that the river pipe jacking construction of the Indian project is expected to be completed before the arrival of the rainy season on June 10, laying a good foundation for the completion of the first contract of the Indian project. At present, 174.423 meters of Ambika River pipeline installation has been completed, and Mondola River pipeline installation is about to begin.
