According to the Cement Manufacturers Association, between April 2004 and February 2005, more than 66% of cement manufacturing plants in India had an equipment utilization rate of more than 75%. About 33% of the above manufacturers have equipment utilization rate of more than 100%.
The high utilization rate of equipment fully reflects the growth of cement consumption in India over the past year, which is also attributed by the industry to the increase in clinker production brought about by the technological innovation of equipment by various manufacturers.
