Huaxin Cement's 2 Million Tons of Clinker Production Line Project in Uzbekistan Successfully Ignited

Huaxin Cement 's overseas development ushered in another important moment: at 11:18 on June 28, Beijing time, Huaxin Cement's new dry-process cement production line project with an annual output of 2 million tons in Uzbekistan was successfully ignited and entered the trial production stage. It will inject "Huaxin Power" into the local economic development.

After listening to the report of project production information and data, President Li Yeqing highly affirmed that the project team had overcome difficulties in civil engineering, installation, commissioning, epidemic prevention and other aspects to achieve smooth ignition, and provided remote video guidance for project production and operation. Li Yeqing emphasized that the Uzbekistan project should do a good job in closed operation, promote epidemic prevention, protect the health and safety of employees and the stable operation of the production line; do a good job in safety management during project commissioning, strengthen risk awareness, eliminate potential safety hazards; strengthen communication, steadily and steadily, and achieve high quality production.

Huaxin Uzbekistan Jizak Project was signed at the Central China International Capacity Cooperation Forum in 2018. The project is located in Jizak Prefecture, Uzbekistan. The first phase of the project invests 150 million US dollars to build a cement clinker production line with an annual output of 2 million tons. It will create 1200 local jobs. The project is the first wholly foreign-owned enterprise in Uzbekistan and is listed as a major project promoted by the President himself, which is coordinated by the Commissioner of the Presidential Office on the spot. The Chinese Embassy in Ukraine, the Department of Commerce of Hubei Province and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission also attach great importance to the progress of the project. With the vigorous promotion of the Chinese and Ukrainian governments, the project is advancing rapidly.

The project was originally scheduled to be put into operation in April 2020, but the sudden outbreak of the epidemic affected the progress of the project. Huaxin Cement insisted on the "double-front battle" of project construction and epidemic prevention and control, and arranged 112 employees to charter flights from Wuhan to Uzbekistan to return to work at the beginning of this month, so as to strengthen the personnel strength and help the project successfully achieve ignition trial production.

At present, Huaxin Cement has seven factories under construction and operation overseas, and all the factories in operation have achieved good economic and social benefits.
