According to Tesla's overseas official website, the company recently launched an all-black household photovoltaic module , with minimalist aesthetic design as the core highlight, while taking into account power generation performance and installation adaptability.
The module is available in 415W and 420 W power versions, with a uniform size of 1805mm × 1135mm × 40mm and a weight of 22.3kg. At present, Tesla has not disclosed its power conversion efficiency and the type of batteries used.
Previously, Tesla has launched a "photovoltaic + Powerwall" rental scheme in the United States, which allows users to obtain more stable and predictable electricity expenditure in a way similar to monthly supply, and strengthens the "photovoltaic + energy storage " package scheme in the business model. The appearance of the new all-black photovoltaic module product can be seen as a signal of Tesla's renewed solar energy business strategy.
Tesla's solar energy layout is clear, with the acquisition of SolarCity in 2016, bringing photovoltaics into its own energy ecology, gradually shifting from the OEM stage to self-developed manufacturing services, and cooperating with energy storage, charging and other businesses to form a business matrix of "photovoltaic modules + roof photovoltaic + energy storage + rental services". Through the ecological closed-loop of "product differentiation + mode innovation + ecological synergy", it not only impacts the pattern of household photovoltaic industry, but also opens up new growth space for itself.
