According to foreign media reports, the Saudi Power Purchasing Company (SPPC) has announced the list of qualified bidders for the seventh round of renewable energy bidding projects in Saudi Arabia.
According to the list, 22 photovoltaic project companies are included. Sixteen of these companies received both management and technical membership, while six others received management membership only.

In addition, China Electric Power Construction, Shanghai Electric Power and Guodian Electric Power were also included in the list of qualified photovoltaic and wind power developers.
It is reported that in September 2025, the 7th round of renewable energy bidding in Saudi Arabia was launched, including 3.1GW photovoltaic projects and 2.2GW wind energy projects.
The 3.1GW PV projects include the 1.4GW PV power station near Hima, the 600MW PV power station near Bisha, 500 MW PV plant near Madinah and 600 MW PV plant near Mawqaq.
According to media reports, the selected bidders will develop and build these facilities in a "build-own-operate" mode.
