On July 31, Guiguan Electric Power announced that the company and Datang Yunnan Power Generation Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the controlling shareholder Datang Group, and China Datang Overseas Investment Co., Ltd. intend to establish Datang (Laos) Namo New Energy Co., Ltd. Invest in the construction of nanomill photovoltaic project .
The announcement shows that the Namo Photovoltaic Project is located in Namo County, Oudomxai Province, Laos, and the electricity generated is sent back to Yunnan, China, through the China-Laos 500 kilovolt power grid interconnection project.
The project is planned to have an AC side installed capacity of 500MW and a DC side installed capacity of 630.37 MWp, covering an area of about 783 hectares, mainly mountainous and hilly landforms. The total investment of the project is RMB 1,621,137,000 yuan, and the dynamic investment per kilowatt is RMB 2,571.73 yuan/kWp.
At present, the Namo Photovoltaic Project has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) and a project development agreement (PDA) with the Ministry of Planning and Investment of Laos, obtained supporting documents such as the EIA certificate of the site, completed the survey of the project land and the survey of the ground attachments, and obtained the approval of the Oudomxay Provincial Government and the Provincial Congress; It is promoting the signing of the franchise agreement (CA) and the establishment of the project company .
On July 27, Datang Group has issued a tender announcement for EPC general contracting of Laos Namo 500 MW photovoltaic project. The construction period of the project is tentatively scheduled from September 30, 2026 to September 30 , 2027.
