On August 17, there were a group of special "little visitors" in the exhibition hall of Conch Group and the campus of Southeast University-they were the children of the families of overseas workers and advanced workers of Conch Group.
On this day, nearly 70 family members and children walked out of their homes and into a century-old famous school, feeling the charm of science in their hands and brains, and also in the laughter, they understood their parents'adherence to "giving up a small family for everyone".
Not the university, but the "place where Mom and Dad fought"
on the morning of the activity, 27 groups of families returned to their "mother's home"-the headquarters of Conch Group. The children walked into the digital exhibition hall for the first time, looking at the sand table, real-time data and factory model of overseas projects on the big screen, and their eyes were full of curiosity.
My father is here! A small finger across a marking point, each point to one, is a "reunion" across thousands of mountains and rivers. Originally, the side of heaven and earth guarded by parents has long been lit up by conch, and has been deeply engraved in the hearts of children.
At that moment, there were no boring numbers in the exhibition hall, only the children's "wow" sound one after another, and the small chest that secretly stood up-originally, my father and mother were so great.
Listening to role models telling stories and learning popular science
from teachers at the beginning of the afternoon is the long-awaited interactive experience for children. An outstanding student of Southeast University stood on the platform, without notes or PPT, and talked about his way of "upgrading and fighting monsters" like a big sister next door-how his grades fell to the bottom in high school, how to catch up, how to strive for Baoyan, the employment prospects of Southeast University..
Then, a popular science class on automotive power ignited the enthusiasm of the whole audience. Professional teachers use animated models to explain clearly "how the engine works" and "why the tram accelerates fast", and take the children through the century-old history of automotive power-from steam engines to gasoline vehicles, to hybrid, pure electricity and hydrogen energy. When
talking about "the future car may not need oil or charging", a boy shouted excitedly: "Then I will invent a car that can run with air in the future! Build a "solar chariot"
by
yourself, with the "action" learned from the example, the children ushered in the most anticipated hands-on link. They are going to build a solar car by themselves.
Screwing, wiring, installing solar panels.. At first, they were in a hurry, and then the group helped each other. When the first car moved slowly in the sunshine, the whole audience "wow", a boy ran after his car several times, shouting: "My car can run! My car can really run! It is
not an "activity", but an intention
to "understand you". Some people ask: Why do you do it every year? The trade union of the group made one of the "ten facts" like this, not just to take the children to play for a day- but to reassure the rear and the front .The wife of an
overseas worker said emotionally: "In the past, the child always asked me, 'Why is my father always in the mobile phone?' Today, I pointed to the sand table and told him, 'My father is building a big factory far away.' The child looked up and said, 'That father is so awesome.' At that moment, the group helped us make up for the most precious lesson in the growth of our children."
From the first departure in 2023 to entering Southeast University this year, this research camp has been running for three years. In the future, the Conch Trade Union will continue to "increase the number"-parent-child research, factory opening day, family condolences.. Do everything to the heart of the staff.
