In 2026, the output of fluid solidified soil in China is expected to be close to 30 million cubic meters, while in 2022, the figure is just over 15 million cubic meters, doubling in four years, with a compound annual growth rate of nearly 19%.
At present, solid waste-based cementitious materials have been listed in the encouraged direction of the Catalogue of Guidance for Industrial Structure Adjustment (2024 edition). The Action Plan for Comprehensive Treatment of Solid Waste (Guofa [2025] No.14), issued in December 2025 and published in January 2026, explicitly includes the cost of construction waste reduction, transportation, utilization and disposal in the project cost. Under the upsurge of
policy and market turning at the same time, many cement enterprises that want to get involved in the soft soil solidification market have a series of practical problems that need to be solved urgently. What are the technical routes of
curing agent? Where are the applicable scenarios of inorganic, organic and ionic curing agents, why inorganic curing agents will become the mainstream direction, and where is the entry point of the track of solidified soil for cement enterprises with grinding as the core process?
From the cost account, the answer is not difficult to find. In the past, to deal with soft soil, we either spent money to transport it away for landfill, or pulled good soil from other places for backfilling, and the transportation cost of "one abandonment and one mining" was as high as 250 yuan per cubic meter; After using in-situ solidification, the cost of soft soil solidification is reduced to 40 yuan per cubic meter, which saves 20% to 40% compared with the traditional solidification technology, and saves more than 70% of the project cost compared with the spoil transfer. The solidification scheme has been implemented in 26 major national projects such as the second passage of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal.
But what the industry really cares about is another set of figures. Yin Suhong, deputy dean, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of South China University of Technology, said in an exchange with China Cement Network recently that 70% -80% of the solidified soil on the market currently uses on-site mixing mode, which requires flexible adjustment of parameter ratio according to soil quality, and only 20% -30% uses standardized powder curing agent.
This means that the soft soil solidification market is different from the standardized cement product market, and the soft soil solidification is more inclined to provide perfect supporting services rather than a single product.
Yin Suhong believes that the solidified soil market is developing rapidly, and if cement enterprises want to enter this field, they need to set up a professional technical team to provide a complete set of solutions from materials to construction.
From December 3 to 4, China Cement Network will hold the " 16th China Cement Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Exchange Conference and the First Solid Waste Comprehensive Utilization and Fluidized Solidified Soil Development Conference " in Wuhan, Hubei Province, and release the "2026 Cement Kiln Co-disposal Hazardous Waste Capacity Ranking List" at the same time. Professor Yin Suhong will have a detailed exchange with the industry on the research and application status and future development of solidified soil technology. Please pay attention to it.
