Recently, the Energy Bureau of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region issued a list of the first batch of independent new energy storage construction projects in 2026. Thirty-one projects, such as the 0.25 GW/1 GWh independent energy storage project in the new urban area of Hohhot, were identified to be included in the autonomous region's independent new energy storage power station planning, forming the list of the first batch of independent new energy storage construction projects in 2026. There are 31 projects
included in the planning of independent new energy storage power stations in the autonomous region, with a total installed capacity of 8.15 GW/32.60 GWh, all of which adopt electrochemical energy storage technology and are planned to be put into operation in 2026 and 2027.
