In 2013, a local landslide occurred on the west slope of the mine due to geological reasons, forming a bare slope with a height of 45 meters and a slope of 34 degrees. Dangerous rocks and pumices are everywhere, and soil erosion is serious, which not only affects the safety of mining, but also is extremely inconsistent with the natural environment.
Hanshan South adheres to the sustainable development concept of "mining, management and restoration at the same time", actively fulfills the social responsibility of the central enterprises, and decides to carry out a comprehensive and systematic renovation of the western slope. The pumice on the slope surface was cleaned by mechanical means, and then the slope was reinforced by grid protection net and anchor rod, which laid a solid foundation for the subsequent ecological restoration. By using mixed spraying technology, soil, slow-release fertilizer, plant seeds and other materials were mixed evenly and sprayed accurately, and finally shrubs such as Photinia fraseri and Amorpha fruticosa were planted, which made more than 70000 square meters of slope green again. today's Yaotoushan Mine, the green coverage rate of the slope platform has reached 100%, the survival rate of vegetation has exceeded 95%, and the former "ecological scar" has been transformed into a green corridor with symbiotic trees, shrubs and grasses. The quality of the ecological environment has been continuously improved, and the people's sense of "blue sky happiness" and "clear water acquisition" have been continuously enhanced. As a limestone production mine with an annual output of 4.3 million tons, the mine optimizes the mining process and puts the requirements of ecological protection throughout the whole mining process, from introducing advanced equipment to reduce energy consumption, to implementing the integrated management of "slope-support-greening" to reduce ecological costs, and then to ensuring sustainable production with the help of digital monitoring systems such as slope displacement monitoring and environmental monitoring. This intercepting ditch is like an "ecological defense line", which effectively guides rainwater to flow into the north pond in an orderly manner, significantly reduces the erosion of the slope by rainwater, and effectively curbs soil erosion. At the same time, the mine has also designed a set of secondary water supply sprinkler system, which pumps the rainwater collected by the pond to the water tank of + 74 meters platform, and then uses it for the sprinkler irrigation operation of slope greening, thus realizing the efficient recycling of water resources.
Protect the green mountains and rivers, and create an eternal future. The transformation of Southern Yaotoushan Mine in Hanshan is the vivid practice of the concept of "two mountains". From the past ecological trauma to today's green butterfly change, Yaotoushan Mine has not only realized the effective utilization of mineral resources, but also achieved remarkable results in ecological protection and restoration.
