According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, in August, the value added of industries above scale increased by 5.2% year-on-year (the growth rate of value added is the real growth rate after deducting price factors). On a month-on-month basis, in August, the value added of industries above designated size increased by 0.37% over the previous month. From January to August, the added value of industries above scale increased by 6.2% year-on-year.
The national cement output of the cement industry in August was 148.02 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%; the national cement output from January to August was 1,104.57 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%.
In addition, the data show that the national cement output from January to August 2024 is 1159.07 million tons, so the total cement output from January to August this year is 54.5 million tons less than same period last year, a decrease of 4.7%.
