National Bureau of Statistics: In 2023, the national cement output was 2.023 billion tons, with a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.

On January 17, the National Bureau of Statistics released economic data for December 2023. In December, the added value of industries above scale increased by 6.8% year-on-year (the growth rate of added value is the real growth rate after deducting price factors). On a month-on-month basis, in December, the value added of industries above designated size increased by 0.52% over the previous month. In 2023, the added value of industries above scale increased by 4.6% over the previous year.

Among them, the national cement output in December 2023 was 158 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%; the national cement output in 2023 was 2.023 billion tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.7%.

According to China Cement Network, the national cement output in 2023 was the lowest in 13 years since 2011.
