the meeting, WCA Chairman Wei Rushan deeply analyzed the current situation and challenges faced by the cement industry around the four key words of "peace, rationality, innovation and responsibility", and pointed out the direction for the development of the industry.
Focusing on the issue of "peace", he analyzed the uncertainties brought about by world conflicts, wars and US tax policies, and called on the world to return to peace and create a stable environment for the development of the cement industry.
In the part of "rationality needs to return", he mentioned the polarization of the world cement industry. Under the background of "fragile recovery" and "coexistence of risks" in the global economy, the cement industry should not only actively expand international business and disperse risks, but also be aware of the periodic growth of cement demand and price brought about by post-war reconstruction after the disaster, and call on the cement industry to return to rationality and cautiously respond to market changes.
Talking about "innovation is the magic weapon for enterprises to survive in adversity", Wei Rushan emphasized that the cement industry is facing many challenges and the business situation is grim. In the face of the complicated and changeable political and economic situation, cement enterprises have changed from the amount of profits to the state of life and death. Only through innovation, live to death!
Finally, Wei Rushan pointed out that the social responsibility of the industry has expanded from traditional environmental protection to technological revolution, global fair transformation and community development. Cement enterprises have assumed social responsibility, which is the cornerstone of the development of the industry! Emil Adiguzel, the founder
of WCA, made an overall introduction to the work carried out by the Association in 2024, and reported on the development plan and key work in 2025. Rong Yakun,
Secretary-General, gave a comprehensive explanation of the work focus, deployment and arrangement of the WCA Professional Committee in 2025, and introduced the selection process and planning of the 2025 Grand Prize, inviting member enterprises to participate actively. During

Mohammed Ali Ajni (Mohammed Ali AlGarni), Director and CEO of Saudi Cement, Kevin Lunney, Chief Operating Officer of Mannok Cement, Ireland, Matias Cardarelli, CEO of PPC Cement in South Africa, was re-elected to the Executive Committee.
The conference also invited On-Field Investment Research to analyze the global cement market in 2024 and the prospects of the global cement industry in 2025. The general meeting
of WCA members was successfully held, which further condensed the global consensus in the complex industry environment, built an efficient platform for member enterprises to communicate and share resources, and laid a solid foundation for the future coordinated development of the industry.
Looking forward to the future, Secretary-General Rong Yakun said that WCA would continue to optimize member services, create more value for member enterprises, strengthen cooperation with international organizations, and constantly enhance the global influence of the industry. He also invited member enterprises to attend the annual general meeting in Dubai in early November 2025 to jointly promote the cement industry to move towards a sustainable future in innovation and responsibility.
