On January 13,

2025, the National Energy Conservation Center and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) announced the evaluation results of the demonstration project. As the only two selected projects, the Sino-German Conch Zongyang Renovation Project was officially selected as the pilot project of the "Sino-German Energy Efficiency Improvement Demonstration Project in Key Areas" in the cement industry. The project is provided by China Aviation Technology Beijing Co., Ltd. with the German Humboldt preheater decomposition furnace transformation technology, combined with the research and development capabilities of Conch Group, energy saving and consumption reduction and alternative fuels are developed simultaneously, with high firing comprehensiveness and scale effect of energy saving and carbon reduction. June 2024, Zheng Shanjie, Director of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Harbeck, Vice Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and Minister of Economic and Climate Protection, jointly held the first high-level dialogue on climate change and green transformation between China and Germany, announcing that the dialogue had reached a series of important results. Among them, the National Energy Conservation Center and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) jointly launched a demonstration project on energy efficiency improvement in key areas between China and Germany. Under the witness of the Director of Zheng Shanjie and Vice Premier Harbeck, the two sides signed the Letter of Intent for the Implementation of the Energy Efficiency Improvement Demonstration Project in Key Industries (Cement Industry and Industrial Park) between China and Germany. The evaluation committee is composed of six Chinese and German experts

from the National Energy Conservation Center, the China Building Materials Federation, the China Quality Certification Center, the German Uperta Institute, Bozhong Zhihe, and the German International Cooperation Agency. The 12 candidate enterprises and projects were evaluated from the aspects of technical direction, international cooperation basis of energy saving and emission reduction effect, project fund composition, matching degree with demonstration projects and follow-up cooperation potential. The selected projects will be implemented until December 2025, when the project results will be introduced in the industry. The National Energy Conservation Center and the German International Cooperation Agency will continue to support pilot enterprise projects to implement cost-effective and replicable innovative technologies for energy conservation and carbon reduction, and promote energy efficiency demonstration and upgrading in key areas of China and Germany.

Cement industry is an important basic industry for national economic and social development, and its carbon emissions rank third in the industrial sector, which is the key industry for the country to achieve the goal of "double carbon". In recent years, China Aviation Technology Beijing Co., Ltd. has used German Humboldt technology to provide upgrading and transformation services for domestic cement enterprises by taking advantage of the world's leading advanced technology and equipment such as firing and grinding systems, alternative fuels and smart factories. Conch Zongyang Project was selected as the "Sino-German Demonstration Project of Energy Efficiency Improvement in Key Areas", which is another major achievement of China Aviation Technology Beijing Co., Ltd. in practicing the concept of green and low-carbon development.
